Squat stand or power rack
A squat stand holds the bar at height with safety supports and leaves the lift open, so it needs less floor and less headroom than a cage. When that is enough, and when to step up to a rack.
Power cage or half rack
A full cage surrounds the bar with safety bars on every side. A half rack is open at the front and takes less depth. How the RooFitness racks compare on rated load, height, footprint and what they include.
Dumbbells by the pair, as a set or adjustable
Rubber hex pairs from 1kg to 60kg, neoprene and vinyl pairs to 10kg, racked sets to 50kg a hand, and adjustable spinlock sets. Which format suits which training, what a set includes, and how much floor and freight each one takes.
